Person responsible for the protection of personal information
As required by Québec's Law 25, the person responsible for the protection of personal information at QC Tech Support is The President. You can reach them at info@qctech.support with any question, access request or complaint about your personal information.
What we collect, and why
We collect the strict minimum, and only to answer your request or improve the site.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), the service concerned and the content of your message. This is used solely to reply to you and to schedule the work.
- Google Analytics 4: pseudonymous usage data (pages viewed, approximate device, referrer) used to improve the site. Collected only with your explicit consent.
- Server logs: truncated IP address, date, requested page and response code, kept briefly for security and technical diagnostics.
Consent
No analytics tool loads before you accept it: no box is pre-ticked, and declining is exactly as easy as accepting. The site works completely if you decline.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of any page.
Third parties and where your data goes
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): site hosting, sending the form emails, and running the form processing. Resources sit in the ca-central-1 region, in Montréal. The CloudFront delivery network is global, however: the site’s public files (pages, images) may pass through servers outside Canada.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: anti-spam verification for the form. Strictly necessary for the form to work; no advertising profiling.
- Google Analytics 4: audience measurement. Google transfers and processes this data outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States. That transfer is precisely why we ask for your consent before loading this tool.
- Namecheap Private Email: the mailbox that receives form messages.
Retention
The function that receives the form stores nothing: it forwards the message and forgets it. Your message then lives in our mailbox.
We keep received requests for 24 months [TBD to confirm], then delete them. Server logs are kept for 14 days.
Your rights
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to request its deletion, and to withdraw your consent. Write to info@qctech.support and we will respond within the time limits set by law.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Confidentiality incidents
In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a serious risk of injury, we commit to notifying the affected individuals and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, and to keeping the register the law requires.
Cookies and local storage
- Your consent choice: stored locally in your browser (localStorage), essential, never transmitted.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: technical cookies essential to the form’s anti-spam check.
- Google Analytics 4: _ga and _ga_* cookies, set only after you accept.
